The Reverend Canon B. Keith Allen, the rector of Christ Church Vero Beach, leads worship on Sunday morning, May 10 for the first service since the church closed due to COVID-19. “We need to come together for three reasons: for the proclamation of the scriptures, where we are fed through the Word, to participate in the sacraments, where we encounter Christ, and to be filled with the Holy Spirit afresh to live faithfully in the world. Even with technology these cannot be done remotely, the happen in community. Worship is embodied,” said Father Allen.
